This is something I did a little bit of research into while I was doing my online PhD, and I've come up with a list of topic areas that I would include in my dissertation:Which category do you belong to? One of the topics that I think will be particularly useful to you is the Constitution. One thing I like to do in research papers is to look at the constitution, because it's really important, and I think it's an important topic to try to investigate.Is this the first American Democracy to have a constitution? Does it look similar to the 'old' constitution from England? It's probably most similar to our constitution, but since we've been here and are using different names for things, I'm not sure exactly. While it is true that you have three branches, it could be argued that those branches have a lot of overlapping responsibilities, and that it would be useful to know what they are actually designed to do.I believe the responsibility of the Senate and the Hous e of Representatives actually come from the same section of the Constitution, and that each one represents a 'state'. So I think if you study the structure of the US Constitution, you'll find that the idea of branches is pretty important.Does it appear that our system is designed to create a 'democratic republic'? I am interested in understanding what aspects of our system work well, and what can be improved, and I would like to see if the federal government can do better. The only way to do this is to ask people who are knowledgeable about the system to give me their input.
